Malman Attorneys Honoring Today’s Vets with a Scholarship Opportunity

How can we possibly thank our veterans for their steadfast and unwavering service of our country? Each day, millions of members of the United States military dedicate their efforts completely – and often put their lives on the line – to keep our country and our world safe, secure, and just. When they return from service, they face a number of barriers, challenges, and difficulties as they readjust to civilian life, process their years of service, and turn their attention toward the future.

At Malman Law, we can think of no better group of people to honor with a scholarship than the veterans who are seeking degrees after their return home from service. To show our respect, our appreciation, and our heartfelt thanks, we are announcing our first annual $2,000 Malman Law Veterans’ Scholarship.

A $2,000 Scholarship for Veterans Earning a Degree After Service

Although veterans often receive financial help and educational opportunities after they leave the service, they still face significant expenses besides tuition when it comes to earning their degree and advancing their careers. The 2016 Malman Law Veterans’ scholarship is a $2,000 prize to be used for school-related expenses, including books, fees, room and board, and travel expenses.

We want to hear from you, both about your experience serving our country as well as your future hopes and dreams: From advancing your own education to starting a family, to helping others with what you’ve learned and experienced along the way.

Veterans’ Scholarship Instructions and Deadline

We want to get to know you and be inspired by your story and your goals. We invite you to send all required application materials to veterans@malmanlaw.com by February 1, 2017. The winner of the scholarship will be announced on March 1, 2017. The winner of the scholarship will be chosen by a panel of readers at Malman based on his or her service and essay.

To apply for the scholarship, each applicant is required to include:

  • A copy of your student ID or other proof of college enrollment.
  • Proof of service, as well as proof of an honorable discharge.
  • A 500-word essay about your service and your plans for your education and future.

If you have any questions regarding your eligibility, your application, or the scholarship itself, please contact us today via phone or email.
