Snow, already?

Written by Malman Law, reviewed by Steve J. Malman.

Many of us who have lived in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs are well aware of the dramatic weather changes that we are constantly battling. Just as we thought sweater season arrived, we might be pulling out our winter jackets. According to weather news reports, by the beginning of next, temperatures are expected to drop to the freezing mark. Chicago is also expected to get what is called graupel, a mix between hail and snow according to Chicago Tribune Breaking News. Along with these weather conditions, drivers face slick roads that can make driving conditions rough. When driving in these conditions, serious accidents have the potential to occur. If you or a loved one are involved in a vehicle accident, call a vehicle accident attorney as soon as possible to learn about your legal rights

To help prevent accidents from occurring, make sure your vehicle is prepared for winter!

The following are some tips by the Center for Disease Control when it comes to winter preparedness and automobiles.

  • Make sure to get your recommended maintenance done such as break checks and oil changes
  • Plan your travel routes ahead of time
  • Keep a full gas tank
  • Have your tires checked to make sure that they aren’t worn or low on air

Sometimes, regardless of winter preparedness, accidents still occur. Our vehicle accident attorneys have successfully handled truck accidents, car accidents, motorcycle accidents, train accidents, and uninsured or underinsured vehicle accidents. Malman Law is available 24/7 for a free consultation and legal advice.
