Good News on Vehicle Accidents in the US

Written by Malman Law, reviewed by Steve J. Malman.

Did you know that an estimated 3,308 children under age 5 were saved by child restraints? It is often that we hear of bad news about vehicle accidents in the US, but recently it was reported from the CDC that vehicle accidents have declined dramatically—nearly 43% in the last decade. By way of new and improved safety programs on our nations’ highways, this decrease has become possible.

Our attorneys are always excited to hear that our nations’ highways are becoming a safer place for all to drive on. Too many of our clients have been victims of accidents due to reckless driving, driving under the influence, and distracted driving. When these accidents do happen, a person’s life can be altered permanently.

Despite the good news of vehicle accidents on the decline, vehicle crashes are still the No. 1 killer of children in the US.  This reality is sad news for our entire nation. If you are looking for ways to keep your family safer on the road, below are some references that may be of use to you.
