Attorney Dana N. Kieras is a Chicagoland native, who grew up in the northwestern suburb of Wheeling. 

For her undergraduate degree, Dana attended Eastern Illinois University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in History.  She was a graduating member of the History Honors Program and was named to the Dean’s List as well.  After graduation, Dana moved to China and was an English teacher at a language school in the city of Xi’an.

Dana then went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from the John Marshall Law School N/K/A UIC Law in Chicago.  While attending law school at night, Dana obtained considerable legal knowledge working as a paralegal and law clerk at several established law firms.

Before joining Malman Law in 2023, Dana gained extensive experience working at various respected law firms in Chicago and the surrounding areas.  She has focused her practice on workers’ compensation, employment and personal injury law. Throughout her career, she obtained substantial settlements for her clients through both successful negotiations and trial victories.

During her practice of law, Dana has truly enjoyed being able to litigate cases and has experience in many different court settings, including the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Illinois Department of Employment Security, United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and Circuit Courts throughout Chicago and the surrounding counties.

Dana lives in Chicago with her husband, John and her daughter, Charlotte.  In her free time, Dana enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her family.

Top Settlements

• $1,025,000.00 – Work Comp case involving a bank worker, who was permanently disabled from work due to injuries to her neck while lifting a large battery recycling container.
• $325,000.00 – Work Comp case involving a union electrician that suffered a loss of vocation due to ankle/foot injury.
• $250,000.00 – Work Comp case involving a loss of vocation for a construction worker who suffered severe back injuries when a metal pipe fell on his back.
