Kurt Wakefield

Kurt brings a wealth of experience and unique perspectives to Malman Law. Practicing in Chicago and New York, he has secured victories for his clients in areas of law including Medical Malpractice, Workers’ Compensation, and Premises Liability. Prior to joining the Illinois Bar, he worked as a union organizer for security officers and health care workers, and was elected to the Bar and Gavel Society for outstanding contributions to his law school and greater community.

Now he applies his skills to advocate for victims of motor vehicle accidents, slips-and-falls, dog bites, and other life-altering injuries. He provides strong, yet compassionate, representation and prides himself on listening and building relationships. He knows the tactics used by insurance companies and personalizes his approach in each case to achieve justice for his clients.

Raised in Plymouth, Michigan, Kurt currently lives with his wife in Oak Park, Illinois. In his spare time, he is likely training for his next half marathon, cheering on his Detroit sports teams, or spoiling his niece and two nephews.
