Attorney Matthew C. Scoles joined Malman Law in 2026, bringing with him extensive experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury litigation. Licensed in Illinois since 2017, Matt is widely recognized for his tireless work ethic, sharp advocacy, and unwavering commitment to client care.

Over the course of his career, Matt has built an impressive litigation record, handling more than 1,500 arbitrations and securing over 60 jury trial verdicts across Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will Counties. He has successfully negotiated millions of dollars in settlements for his clients, but his true passion is helping others.

Born and raised in Canton, Ohio, Matt earned his B.A. in Psychology before working in a variety of fields, including supporting adults with developmental disabilities. This experience sparked his passion for advocacy and set him on a path to the legal profession. He moved to Chicago to pursue his J.D. at The John Marshall Law School, where he was active in the Fair Housing Clinic and competed in the National Veterans Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C.

Matt lives in the Logan Square neighborhood in Chicago with his wife and daughter and proudly embraces his roles as husband and dad. Outside the office, you’ll find him enjoying family walks with their dog, Dolly, cooking with his daughter, drawing or hitting the golf course.
