Attorney Robert A. Dawczak has over 25 years of experience as a practicing attorney. His practice is focused on nursing home abuse and neglect, medical malpractice, and personal injury. He is proud to represent injured victims and their families and seek justice for those who suffer injury at the hands of nursing homes and other elder care facilities. He works diligently to guide clients, address their questions and concerns and provide advice and counsel throughout the litigation process.
Robert distinguished himself while attending the University of Illinois College of Law, being named a Rickert Scholar, and serving as Editor-in-Chief of the National Moot Court Board of Editors. Early in his professional career, he served as law clerk to a Judge on the Circuit Court of Cook County where he observed the litigation process firsthand, from initial filing, through the discovery process, motions, and trial. He also has extensive experience with appeals, having successfully prosecuted appeals to the Illinois Appellate and Supreme Courts.
After his clerkship, Mr. Dawczak worked for a prominent Chicago defense firm and a large insurance company, where he specialized in defending nursing homes, assisted living and other senior living facilities. During this time, he developed a keen understanding of defense methods and tactics, knowledge which serves him well in prosecuting such cases on behalf of individuals injured in these settings.
Mr. Dawczak attended the University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign receiving his Juris Doctor in 1992 and Bachelor of Arts in 1989. He is a lifelong resident of the Chicago area, growing up on the south side, where he continues to reside with his wife and family.
