What is the Illinois statute of limitations on dog bites?
In Illinois, the statute of limitations for a dog bite case is generally two years from the date of the dog bite attack. However, this is different for victims who are under 18 years old. If the person who was bitten is under the age of 18 at the time of the dog bite, the statute of limitations does not expire until that person turns 20 years old.
