Michael Kemel

ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Attorney Mike Kemel was admitted to the Illinois Bar in May this year and has worked at Malman Law ever since. His previous experience includes clerking for the firm in its probate department in 2021, providing him with some experience in the field. Mike has since returned to the probate department as an attorney in 2023, assisting the firm in opening and closing estates and distributing settlements.

Mike participated in the Loyola University Chicago School of Law Business Law Clinic, providing supervised legal assistance to clients seeking to form not-for-profit organizations. He was also a member and later an editor of Loyola’s legal journal, the Annals of Health Law and Life Sciences. During his membership, he wrote a published article and assisted in editing articles and the instruction of new members.

Mike is a lifetime resident of Lake County, graduating from Northwestern University with a B.A. in political science and economics before attending law school.
