Texting while driving has long been illegal in Illinois, and starting January 1, any non-hands-free cell phone use will also be against state law. Now, Chicago auto injury lawyer Steven J. Malman is joining the fight to end distracted driving in all its forms.
Malman Law is teaming up with People Against Distracted Driving (PADD) to put an end to preventable accidents caused by reckless driving habits. Founded in 2012, PADD has helped enact new texting-and-driving legislation in New Jersey and continues to spread awareness of the dangers of distracted driving.
Now, Malman Law is introducing an online pledge to end distracted driving. For every visitor who takes the pledge, the auto injury lawyer will make a $1 donation to PADD, for a total contribution of up to $1,000. These contributions will help the organization sponsor road safety education in schools and donate safety awareness signs for local roads and highways. Take the pledge!
As part of our campaign to prevent distracted driving, we’re sharing a new infographic from the team at Malman Law. Our team of Chicago auto injury lawyers sees the devastating consequences of distracted driving on a daily basis, and now you can get a closer look at the risks and the shocking statistics yourself.
Did you know that texting and driving causes more than 1.5 million accidents every year? Or that 11 teenagers are killed every single day in texting and driving accidents? The startling truth about distracted driving doesn’t end there.
Use and share this infographic to spread awareness about the dangers of driving while distracted, and take our pledge to help end this epidemic. Together, you, Malman Law and PADD can get one step closer to ending distracted driving nationwide once and for all.
